i have just come off my mfj cub on 40m.. 1.5 watts out to a loop and i cant help but make contacts . cw really has sparked a passion now not just a hobby.
I have been active on cw for around a year and got up to around 12-15 wpm , all my expesive radio gear has gone with exception to my 817 and im loving every minute of it on homebrew qrp trx and my cub.

I'm glad to hear you are enjoying your hobby. I too love to hear my callsign come back on my little QRP (of course I love to hear may call come back on my boat anchor also). Someday I hope to get an 817 until then my HW-7 will have to do!

Yes Billy, it truly is a joy and a miracle to talk to someone a couple thousand miles away on something you soldered together on the kitchen table. Regular people will never understand, but we sure do. I hope we can work across the pond some day.
Take good care, de Tom, AB9NZ
