Industrial Communications Engineers LTD. Reply

Anyone else ever ordered products from these folks? I've been waiting about 6 weeks for a couple of low band preamps. I have sent several emails with no response. I called and they said the preamps had shipped the day before. Thats been about 10 days ago. I'm begining to worry.

Any other customers out there?

Interesting:

I may be wrong in this but 'LTD' is normally added to the end of a company in the UK

The address for Industrial Communications Engineers Ltd is in Indianapolis, IN.

The WHOIS information for iceradioproducts.com points back to Array Solutions in Texas.

Who ARE these guys?

"Who ARE these guys?" I wish I knew. They did answer the phone a few weeks ago. I guess I'll give them another call tomorrow.

I have ordered and used ICE ligtning protectors with no problems. I hae 6 in line now along with a passband filter. ICE has never failed to respond to my questions or been slow on an order. Sometimes they get backed up but a call or email will get you going.
Great guys, very helpful when building a grounding system.
YMMV

The wait is over. The preamps arrived today. I guess I should be more patient, but would have been satisfied if they had answered my first e-mail. Anyway, they were well packed and look like they will give good service. Only time will tell.

I've gone through that too, it seems that they either have no stock on some items and wait for an order, and/or they wait for sufficient orders to mount to do a production run of a particular item. I ordered something once with the idea it would save me some time with my project, only to wait a month for the thing to arrive. Their products are among the few I actually endorse and are a upstanding outfit to deal with, but it'd be nice if they put a simple statement like "4 weeks ARO" next to those items they don't stock.

I have already placed another order with them. This time I will be more patient. I think the wait is worth it.

I ordered a broadcast band band filter earlier this year to resolve an RFI issue with a local AM radio station near my residence. It took a few weeks to get the filter after I ordered it, but the wait was worth it in my opinion as the filter is solidly built and had worked much better than I expected.

hi,

the wireman is a dealer for ICE

http://thewireman.com/coaxialimpulsesuppressors.html

could be faster to order from a dealer then from ICE.

My experience is like this
- Order $200+ switch April 9
- Finally get an answer on phone May 7
- Was told unit would ship May 9
- Was billed on Visa May 9
- May 21 and still no switch

Nice products if you can get one at a dealer with material in stock. Have also been burned by dealers where web site says 'in stock' only to order and be told it's backordered.
