Good Evening,
(Not sure if this is the right forum or not...)
I heard N0W (N Zero W) callng CQ at 6:51 2Dec (Zulu date) this evening and was able to copy/pass local wx info with him (Eric) quite easily.
Can anybody shed some light on what this special event is all about?
Thanks

The National Weather Service, Skywarn appreciation day is a special event to honor the hams that assist the Weather Service. National Weather Service locations throughout the country set up stations, many of which are permanent for emergency use.

Thanks for the info. I'd searched on-line for more info, but hadn't come up with any info. Using "Skywarn recognition" as a search term has brought up what I needed.
