I worked a station with the call BY1V today in the WPX contest. The call would indicate China. Does anyone know if this is a legit station/call? I don't find this guy in any online database and I believe I heard him in the ARRL DX contest as well. Anyone know for sure? Many thanks! Brad WA3PAK

Add a dit. It's 6Y1V, from Jamaica. QSL via OH3RB (direct, SAE and $2).

OK, thank you for the assistance. I feel stupid, but at least I know I copied the call wrong. At least it tells me why the signal strength seemed so very strong for a signal from China! Again, thank you! Brad WA3PAK
