This operation is given on QRZ.COM with dates 3/02/10 - 3/16/10. On one of the DX sites, the dates are given as 2/6/10 - 2/19/10 so I guess the latter set is true. There was a spot on the cluster this morning by HA8FW (QSL Manager) saying that the op has arrived in the area, so be on the lookout. I've been moaning that there are few opportunities for new ones this year, but for me here is one. A good reason to get up at 3 AM, first time since Conway and Midway...

Hi Mike... Did you get ol H40FN yet? I worked them this afternoon on 20m CW for an all time new one. Not easy, but I finally landed them.
Better luck there than with that C21DL I have been trying for a week or so now to get with NO luck. The C21DL is not very strong, at least at my QTH here in S.C. Plus, his CW signal is rather unusual. Obviously I have heard the effects of QSB before, and I suppose that is what is going on with his signal, but for lack of a better word, his signal sounds sort of " soft and fluffy". Not allways that way , but most of the time. I missed working the last C2, so hope I can get this one for another all time new one!
Good luck, hope you have the H40 by now. 73, Gene

Not yet Gene. I listened 3 AM one night this week, they were not on. I'm working or commuting from 7:15 AM to 6 PM local time, and the high bands are shut down by the time I get home...however, over the weekend and President's day I'm going to give it my full attention. The number of their DX spots is low, the band windows for QSO look a little tight..maybe 17M late afternoon local time, or 40M dead of night. I need this one!

If you are reading this Saturday 2130Z get on 15M and work them, they sound pretty strong. This has ben an amazing day on the air, starting with TX4T on 160M at daybreak, again later on 17M early in the day, on 12M late in the afternoon, and culminating with Temotu on 15M shortly after that at 2125Z. Flux near 100, geomagnetic indices moderate, Sunspot #38. It's a day to remember. As my first grade reader said, "Jump Spot, Jump!"

Got the H40FN on two bands today! As well as the C21DL for yet another All Time New One! (272 and 273) Worked The TX4T on two bands as well, for 2 new band/modes for French Polynesia. Yes Sir, the bands are hopping today. I may go down to the shack tonight and see what I can scrape up. We got 7 inches of snow here last night, which was AMAZING for lowcountry South Carolina, but no harm to the antennas. 73, Gene
