I missed the last VU4, so new one for me too.
VU7RG was really pretty loud here, and got them on a couple bands.

The dates will be October 24 to November 3. There are several issues with the way the VU authorities handle these sporadic activations. First, they invite participation from a lot of individuals rather than allowing a group of DXers to operate as a single coordinated effort to maximize their impact on the pileups.
The result is that everyone is QRMing everyone or desensing one another due to their close proximity, overlapping use of bands/modes. This was a problem at VU7 but much more so at VU4 since operations were restricted to certain small areas. Imagine if ten DXers were on the air simultaneously within two miles or so of your QTH.
Traveling to VU7 is especially difficult but if you are going to permit operation at these locales, then give a longer window of opportunity. I don't understand why the VUs won't just occasionally allow large, coordinated operations for a few weeks or so like some of the recent DXpeditions.

Your dates are correct. My typing seems to be as bad as my CW. Hi Hi.. Well, "IF" they can get organized and set up quickly, that will still allow around 10 days of operations. I need em both, so the longer the better. 73, Gene

Both are under military control.
Who you are and who you know is important in India.
