When was the last DXpedition to this location? Have not heard any stations in this location since I started on the air in April 2005, three years ago. Need this and Mount Athos to complete EU.

The last major operation from MVI was November 2005. (They made lots of low band types very happy!) http://www.r1mvw.ra6lbs.ru/ Smaller efforts pop up from time to time but not sure if there has been anything since 11/05.

MVI isn't that rare but I believe most DXpeditions have been during the summer. This makes it a little hard especially on the low bands due to summer static noise and during the cycle min. when the upper bands aren't as open. During cycle max, you'll be able to grab these guys no problem; just a matter of waiting and being ready. For Monk Apollo, he has spotty opns. I've worked him but no QSL for over a year. Time to bump him again I guess. Phil KB9CRY

Don't feel bad. I haven't heard a 7O that counts since I've been on the air, late 70s. It was nice to hear BYs though when they were allowed back on the air. 73 Bob
