Besides the fact that some mice droppings floating in the Chinese sea are a DXCC entity there are a few intriguing questions regarding DXCC entities - populated and with a ham operator presence all year round.
Recently a new entity appeared - FJ St. Barth - which previously was part of FS (St. Martin & St. Barthelemy). Now FS is St. Martin but is the same entity as before. Why? The pre-FJ FS (St. Martin & St. Barth) is not the same as FS (St. Martin).
But it gets more interesting:
My principal interest is 6m and 6m ops are less common than HF ops which makes things a little more difficult. In the previous years I worked FJ5DX (St. Barth) and got FS (St. Martin & St. Barth).
As of today I have FS (St. Martin) although I did not work St. Martin because I worked FJ5DX who was and still is in St. Barth. As a consequence I do not have FJ although I worked FJ5DX in St. Barth.
Confusing? Yes, it is but wait until Dec 15, 2008. It seems that there will be some new entities: the Netherlands-Antilles which as of today consist of 2 entities PJ2 (PJ2 Curacao and PJ4 Bonaire) and PJ5 (PJ5 St. Eustatius, PJ6 Saba and PJ7 St. Maarten) will split into new entities. Does any one know what will be these entities? Which ones will become new ones and which ones will remain "old" ones?

VUCC is more straightforward, once you work a grid it's for life, even accounting for the drift of continents.
Speaking of Continental Drift I propose a new award: the WAGWWSFS (Worked All Grids While Working a Single Fixed Station):
Over the years and due to the Continental Drift a fixed station will be move to different grids. The goal of the WAGWWSFS is to work the same fixed station from a fixed station until working all grids. A fixed station is a station residing in the same building over the years. If the building has to be teared down due to decrepitude the new one has to be build on the same spot.
Making it to the Top List is a piece of cake compared to achieving WAGWWSFS!

Es season did not start yet in PJ2land. If PJ2 post-Dec-15 is a different entity from PJ2 pre-Dec-15 you still have a chance to get it on 6m, I am listening.
Note: contrary to popular belief 6m opens - sometimes but rarely, you just have to live long enough to experience it.

If ya don't like the rules of the game, don't play.
Besides, eHam does not issue the award.

Actually, I *am* quite curious as to what's going to happen DXCC-wise with the Netherlands Antilles after December 15th. I was hoping the DXAC would have made their views heard by now. I'm betting a good number of people would like to start booking their vacations for mid-December based on how this all plays out!
