Best Album for DX-ers Reply

Hands down, the best album - in any genre - for a DX-er is:

"Dazzle Ships" by Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark (OMD)

I was born in 1959 and my "Internet" was shortwave radio - listening to an old Heathkit SW-717 that I built (yes - a really pathetic receiver),

BUT

I was a kid having the time of my life in the early 70's.

In the 80's - when I heard "Dazzle Ships", I couldn't believe that they had one song - that is nothing but all of the time stations of the world (WWV, CHU, etc) synched up with other cool shortwave radio sounds.

Even Thomas Dolby's "Blinded by Science" couldn't match that!

Nerd heaven - for sure.

73,

Rich

Hmmm. Don't know about an album, but as for a song, "YYZ" by Rush certainly has potential. Here's why:

Got'a love it!

"Waiting for the Sun" by The Doors pretty much describes how all DXers feel at this point in the sunspot cycle.
