"MAYBE" some SunSpots on the way?? Reply

I guess it is probably only "wishful thinking" but take a look at the "Stereo Behind" image at: http://www.solarcycle24.com/ .

Sure looks like not one, but THREE bright areas rotating onto the disc at upper left. Maybe at least One or even Two could develop into something...??

We just had another Cycle 23 spot. That damned 23 just will NOT give up! Gene

New sunspot 1019 is now the third sunspot to form within the past 30 days, and the largest in quite a while. Maybe something is happening, although it could be another "dead cat bounce".

1019 now has an SSN of 23. The SFI is 73. "Its heeeeeeeeeeere . .. ".
The sun has been "stirring" more lately. Soon, we will start the rapid rise up the cycle.

We've waited oh so patiently . . .

Yet *another* article on the subject, this time saying everything's going to be just fine, and that Cycle 24 is just a late-bloomer:

Personally, I just put it down to the Palos Verdes Sundancers finally remembering where they had stored Big DX. Lest there be any doubt that there's life above 20m, I worked Mike, SV9CVY yesterday around 8pm Eastern (1am his time) on 12 meters.

"...soon there will be DX for all, although more for some than for others."

"I worked Mike, SV9CVY yesterday around 8pm Eastern (1am his time) on 12 meters. "

The buzz in ON4KST's 6m chatroom yesterday was that there was a massive Es opening to Europe in the afternoon and evening.

I don't think it's good enough for F2 to SV9 yet.

It doesn't take much to get F2 to the S. Pacific and S. America on 12m from the NE US but it takes more to get EU I think.
