I dont know about anyone else, but these darn US to US beacon spots are still driving me nuts. WHY in the #%@$#!would they show up on HF CW on the DX SUMMIT cluster? Is there ANY way to filter them out using this particular cluster? OK, I know, I know, I AM whining, I ADMIT it. But those beacon spots really DO pi$$ me off. I think some people need to relax a little. I don't want to see spots for countries I have already worked on a band. Big deal, I just filter them out. For ten meters, I use DX Monitor, it shows a world map with the spots overlayed. With 10 meter beacons spotted I can walk by the shack and with just a quick look at the map see if 10 meters has opened. Otherwise I would have to tune to all the beacons. If I see a beacon spotted near me from the east coast or elsewhere I get on and call cq.
