Could be KG6AC.

I remember KC6HG, or was he KC6JC?
He was in the 6 call district but also not on the main land.

Course I remember a pile up on a KA6 that was on the main land.

He was happily working the pile and not telling people he was actually in CA with a newly issued call.

I was calling CQ in the 15m novice band in '78. I was in Ca. at the time, and had the antenna pointed straight east. Ended up having a nice chat with
7P8BH.

Back on 12 Nov 1989 in the early evening, I was calling CQ with the beam pointed north over the pole. after several calls, I heard a station calling me from way down in the noise, slowly building. Turned out to be 9N1MM. The usual exchange's were made as the signals kept building telling me his name was Moran and he wanted to rag chew. The chat lasted for around 15 minutes as I realized that I was working the only ham operator in Nepal at the time (Father Moran). We finally said our goodby's and signed, then it sounded like every ham in the USA was calling him. I consider this contact my most memerable when the DX called me.
Thanks to all for shareing your stories.

Wow, I've heard of Father Moran but I never actually heard him on. And I've never worked Nepal! That's a great one!
