I wonder wether anyone is using RASCAL GLX cable or knows anything about it. It is produced by Buck Rogers Sr. K4ABT.
Is realy just plug "n" play?

Hi:
Yes the Rascal GLX is pretty much plug and play providing you have the cable designed for your rig. The hardest part is setting the audio out of the sound card for the transmit levels, but even that is not hard.
I built the kit version of the Rascal GLX and it was very easy and fun. The kit savings are only $10 over the prebuilt unit, but I enjoy building so I opted for the kit.
The Rascal GLX also comes with a CD of various digital software. Most of the software on the CD is a revision or two behind, but still very functional. I used the CD to identify the software I liked and then downloaded the latest version. The CD also has many good articles regarding sound card to rig uses.

The RASCAL is pretty straightforward to use, if you read the instructions. I spent several hours trying to get it to work, only to find that I needed to make an adjustment in the sound properties control panel. If I had read the instructions first I would have been on the air sooner.
I love my RASCAL; it's nothing fancy, but the price is great and it works as advertised.

How do you get this RASCAL GLX to work with CwType? The GLX kit uses pin #3 for keying RTTY and works FB for this, but pin #4 and pin #7 are tied together for the PTT. Most of the CW keying programs use pin #4 for keying the CW line.
I know Buck says he has a special "CW" cable, but I can not understand how it works, UNLESS it just plugs into the serail port, then it could work FB.
Any info?
