I'm interested in purchasing a DX70 to use on PSK31 but I can't figure out where the mic connector is located on the radio. Does the control head need to be removed to access the mic connector? If so can the control head be put back on after the wires are connected? Thanks AB7JK

hi kim,
I don't own the dx70 but you can d/l the manual
from alinco site in pdf
http://www.alinco.com/pdf.files/
looks like the control panel is removed and the mic
is attached, then the cable passes thru a cutout in the control panel before it is reattached to the radio.

If there's an ACC socket on the rear of the rig why not use that? Its much simpler and you don't have to keep removing your microphone.
