Mike,
What PC are you running? Laptop/Desktop?
Windows (What Flavor)?
Apple or Linux?

WinWarbler supports your KAM. You can run soundcard RTTY (using the included MMTTY engine) in parallel, which gets you panoramic reception and "click to tune".
Take a look at
http://www.dxlabsuite.com/winwarbler/RTTY%20Full%20Screenshot.jpg
That's MMTTY output in the upper receive pane, and KAM '98 output in the lower receive pane.
WinWarbler is free, and available via

Host mode interface for your Kam, two versions of RTTY, internal to the TNC and soundcard version.
20 macros for RTTY mode. (10 mode specific, and 10 global), Macros variables from everything from {MYCALL} to {LOGCALL} (auto logging into the built in logbook when you do the exchange with the macro.
