Are the YK-455C-1 and the YG-455C-1 filters interchangeable? My 940s manual recommends the YG, but I have been told that the YK will interchange. Does anyone know for sure? I used the search feature and the same question was answered a long time ago with a link to another vendors filters. I have a chance to pick up a YK. Will it work? Thanks. K7UA

Inrad equivalent 400HZ filter to the KW YG-455C-1 but superior performance. For 455Khz 2nd IF in 930 or 940 $85 shipped to CONUS

Thank you for the info. I am still wondering if the YK-455C-1 will directly substitute for the YG-455C-1.

It seems as if each one is for a different IF.
If so, your rig is designed to use both.
One would be better than none, especially if you found a good deal on one.
Given a choice, I would opt for a filter for the first IF, and then maybe add external DSP.

The yg-455 was made for the 930/940 rigs, the yk-455 was made for the 140/680 (and maybe others). I can tell you that, but I can't tell you what would happen if you put the yk in your 940 (it probably wouldn't fit for one thing)
