Kenwood TS-430

My Ts-430 tuning knob acts erratically.Have replaced encoder board but still wrong.Can tune from remote mic perfectly. Any tips?

The ts-430's encoder requires adjustment with an oscilloscope to adjust the 'duty cycle' of the two phases generated by the encoder. The procedure is in the service manual, on page 42 in my original.
If you have already performed this adjustment, I am unable to offer any other suggestions without more information.

I will do the adjustments.I just replaced the unit without any adjustments.

Carlos, I have had similar issues with my 430S in the past. If you need some good advice shoot this guy an email http://www.amateur-repairs.com/index.htm. He is a nice guy and very helpful.
