PSK31 on 6m Reply

Hi

I have heard that there is PSK31 activity on 6m ssb. Would anyone know if this is true, and if so, what frequencies would be so used. Also, I would be grateful for any advice with respect to interfacing an Icom 2100h or a Yeasu FT620B to a computer for the purpose of working PSK31.

Hi, Charles,

There is some PSK31 activity on 6M. Check at 50.289 USB and you might be able to copy some signals if conditions are favorable. I am in EM69, Bloomington, Indiana, USA and have only seen signals during a couple of openings this summer. I do however, keep monitoring the frequencies.

Charles, I cannot be of much help to you with the interface of your rigs. I WAS using a straight in approach on my IC-706, but added an inexpensive DiGiPan Interface device for better control of ALC level and improved "operability". I decided to make the IC-720-A "PSK ready" in addition. The little box helps a great deal. Both rigs feed the RX audio direct to the computer soundboard LINE-IN input through a simple "brut force" audio switch from Radio Shack.
