by KF6MD on November 29, 2008 Mail this to a friend!
Hi,
I just got a new IC706MKIIG and the only thing I have hooked up so far is the 2M section It's mounted in my car and in the nr1 ch in memory I have my home club repeater (WORKS GREAT)while I put another repeater in ch 2 and 3 I must have done something to screw things up in ch 2 and 3 it works ok but I don't have any audio? I go back to ch 1 and my home repeater it works fine......HELP I also have my home repeater in the nr 1 call ch and I don't have any audio there either...
Any help would be appreciated!

If the other suggestions fail, do a CPU reset.

It can be a mess programming a 706, and the 7000 for that matter. There are computer programs which make it really easy. However, if you keep in mind what all needs to be programed in, it becomes easier.

If you have the standard offset selected in the menu, that's what the programing offset will be during programming. It can be changed, and sometimes by accident. Both the transmit and receive tones (if required), must be set, along with the mode. One nice thing about the 706, you can go back and change just one parameter without having to redo the whole mess.
