CI-V commands for IC-92AD Reply
by W6EI on December 22, 2008 Mail this to a friend!
The ICOM IC-92AD, like many ICOM rigs, can be controlled via CI-V commands, and in fact, that is exactly what the ICOM RS-92 software does. Many of the generic commands work just fine. But there are a series of commands that are unique to the newer functions of this radio - in particular, to the D-Star features. DF4OR has done a great job of cataloging the CI-V protocol details down to the individual messages for some ICOM rigs (http://www.plicht.de/ekki/civ/civ-p0a.html). But the messages unique to the IC-92AD are not there yet.

Before I dive in too deeply to this project, has anyone already found or created the documentation for these IC-92AD - specific CI-V messages or for other ICOM D-Star radios?

Thanks and 73,

Bob, W6EI

The commands are in the owners manual. And, it's my understanding the latest version of the software has provisions for all of the commands.

Specifically, what are you trying to control?
