Looking for a qualified repair to an older GLB UHF helical preselector preamplifier at a fair price. this is for a UHF repeater operation. Thanks, Ken

Ken,
If the GaAsFET in question is a "standard type" such as an MGF 1302, 1402, etc....
Then simply remove old one, and solder in a new one...
Total cost would be fairly low...(about $5 - $10 or so)
Total time (depending on your skills) is less than 30 minutes....
IF you want someone reliable, knowledgable, and that actually does this for a living.....
Check out ARR (Advanced Receiver Research) in CT.....
I think they charge $15 plus shipping for GaAsFET replacement, in their own units......Not sure what they'd charge for working on another manuf. unit...
