Hello there ,I have a working AEA PK-232 and was wondering a couple of things, seeing that I bought it used, and have no instructions. I used to own a KPC-3 back in 1994, and it had a mailbox. DOes the PK-232 have one as well, as it gives me a place to "change" the call on it via the "mymail" command. Also, how does one set up the unit as a digipeater, as I have friends using QRP stations, using HTs, and I have a larger station, it would be very useful to them. If anyone has this information, OR a manual for one, and would be willing to make a copy, I would be more than happy to compensate for mailing and time. Thanks, and 73

Check www.timewave.com for your manual for the PK-232. They have the paper manual or you can get it on CD for a lot less money and it's just as good. As for digipeating they simply use your call in the connect field like this CMD: c n4zou via kc4uys where n4zou is the station your trying to connect with and kc4uys is the station acting as a digipeater.

I understand all of that, but the question was how to ENABLE the function on the PK-232 to act as a digipeater. I would like to put the packet station to good use while I'm not activly using it, and allow others to digipeat through me.

Did you ever get an answer? Am in the same boat PS232 and want to digipeate with it. Works fine as is for packet station (originator) but it will not answer any calls.
