I'd recommend "per the Kenwood manual for the TL-922A." Their procedure is a good one. If you don't have the manual, I'd surely recommend getting a copy of it from manualman.com or w7fg.com or one of the other manual providers. The manual contains several good operational tips that would be difficult to detail in a limited forum like this one.
