Does anyone know why Kenwood is not offering its 933 amplifier to the U.S. market when Icom and Yeasu have.

This is just a guess; Kenwood's market is shrinking if one is to believe the reports from the various distributors of amateur radio equipment. One sales person told me that for every Kenwood they sell, they sell 10 made by others. Further, the most popular amps these days are the 80B and 811H from MFJ. It's a tough market and spending money to modify their amp to US specs is more than Kenwood is wanting to spend.
