I TRIED TO "LOCK"MY OLD TR2600A FOR TX-RX WITHIN 144-146 Mhz. I DID WHAT I HAD TO DO WITH THE FOUR DIODES AND RESET THE TRANCEIVER.NOW IT TRANSMITS FROM 142 Mhz TO 148,995 Mhz AND RECEIVES MORE WIDELY. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT I MUST DO IN ORDER TO "LOCK" IT WITHIN 144-146 or 144-148 MHz? (MY E-MAIL:SV1AER@YAHOO.COM) THANK YOU SV1AER

I believe what you are currently seeing is the original frequency coverage, at least for the US version of the TR-2600A. You might look in the manual and see if it also has specs for the TR-2600E European version, which would probably have reduced frequency coverage on the transmitter. (I'm not sure about this, but it is worth checking.) Otherwise it MIGHT be possible to extend the current TX lock logic to the MHz BCD control lines if they are brought out from the controller chip: requiring that the MHZ "4" bit be on to enable transmit would limit the coverage to 144 - 145.995 MHz.
