Do you have the switch settings for the MFJ-1279M to interface the Yaesu FT-857?

If you have the manual, try the settings for the yaesu 817..I would imagine that would work or the settings for the yaesu 1000. I have a MFJ interface, the bottom of the line no mic model and for my 920, I used the 1000 settings and it worked.... Hope I was of help 73 Chris Hall W8BDH
