Dial slipage on FT101E Reply
by N5EQL on March 13, 2004 Mail this to a friend!
(Yaesu FT101E) when tuning, the outer skirt turns but the dial sometimes slips. Is this adjustable? I looked over the manual but cannot find anything about this problem. I posted on the boat anchor forum but received no responses...any help here! Thanks!

The dial is designed so you can move it in order to calibrate the frequency. However, over time it can start slipping on its own. If you disassemble the vfo knob assembly, you'll find some felt discs in front and behind the dial. They may need to be replaced. How you replace them is up to your own creativity...
