I think I just stole a very high end DF system for $1000 plus shipping thanks to America's garage sale: E-Bay! I'm trying to find more information about the system but so far my web searches have come up with almost nothing. Only thing I could find was it was developed in 1997 by Communications Test Instruments for cell phone companys to radio locate rouge cell phones with cloned/hacked handsets. From the hardware pictures, the system comes in three racks and includes the following hardware:
The main Frame Locator XP-PLUS Contains the following:
2 (yes, TWO recievers!) icom Communications Receiver IC-R7100
2-CTO Cellular Data Monitor's
1-Doppler Systems
1-Alpha Delta ARC-Plug Model DELTA-4 Coax switch-Surge Protector
Motorola Rnet 9600
ICOM CT-17
CTI Locator MDF Mapping Direction Finder Model: LOCATOR MDF Serial 0497-0506
Manual Tracking Antenna Serial 0497-1866
Convert Locator Serial 0497-1866
Amrel SLT 586 Laptop
R5 Wireless Receiver with extra batteries and fitting sleeves, User information instruction card.
Locator Headphone Adaptor
DTMF Display
Keeper II Magnum Lithium LTC-16M
Ilan Electronics Model AC-D01
I've looked up most of the main components and other then the Icom recievers and the Moterola modem, most of the actual CTI equipment appears to be custom. So, if anyone has more information about this paticular system, I could use some help! My e-mail is kc8hnz at hotmail dot com. Thanks!

I wonder who won that auction. Werent there several Doppler Systems ADFs and several Moto modems in the lot?
