Hi-
Can anyone tell me how or give me an idea how to build a transducer that will handle 20 to 30k at say 25 to 50 watts out. Efficiency and dimensions are of no concern. I would appreciate any help-thank you.

20kHz to 30kHz? (You didn't add the "Hz.")
If so, this might help:

Thank you, but I couldn't link up to the link you mentioned. I know NDT makes transducers. No I didn't add the "hz" nor the "c" on purpose because I knew that hams were well versed in abbreviations and not one ham out there could mistake "k" for anything else--could they?

What's the duty cycle? Do you want to pulse the transducer or pump 50 watts into it continuously, and if so what waveform? What Bandwidth do you need, ie; 30 Khz center frequency, +/- 500 Hz wide? Air or liquid, beam angle? These are questions you'll need to know in order to determine transducer type or design.
Here's links to get you started,

Thanks-I would be happy just to make a basic working transducer for air to start with. As for any fine parameters, that would come later. Of course you are right about the, 'air or liquid' type. I was hoping to find someone who has made one of any type. I will try those links. Thanks again...
