Where to find a rotary switch Reply

I have been having trouble looking for and finding a suitable 12+ position rotary switch suitable for a transmatch in the 1000 watt range. Any suggestions on where to find one? (been searching the internet with no results)

Joel,

I had a similar issue hunting parts for an HF amp I am building, I ended up using relays instead.

MFJ sells one that MIGHT work:

Surplus Sales of Nebraska MAY have what you need, but be prepared to pay Dearly!!

Good Luck!

I'll second the vote on www.surplussales.com. Click on the radio switch button and the JVC button for the higher-power ceramic switches. Cost will be high.

Also, one of e-Ham's advertisers is Multi-Tech Industries. Check http://multi-tech-industries.com/ for their switch selection.

Alan, WB4GNT, CEO of MaxGain takes his collection to most larger hamfests in the Southeast. Not only hard to find wafer switches, but loads of cool fiberglass rod, tubes and such for home brew antenna work. He also has quite a selection of old analog meters in every size and shape imaginable.

His co-show distributor, Mr. Garcia (don't know if he's licensed or not) also has a really good test equipment inventory and the prices are very reasonable.

Whenever I go to one of the larger fests, I stop by and visit with him for a few minutes and thank him for bringing it all with him.

I could spend half my fest time just looking through Alan's collection.
