voltage supply for tubes Reply

I currently have a home brewed sweep tube amplfier using four 6kd6's. It works fairly well and has been in operation for some years.
For sake of available parts I powered the heater elements in series with a 24 volt supply rather than a six volt supply.
However, I would like to re-create this amp using 811a's. I have never seen any schematic utilizing series fed filiments but only parallel. Is there a good reason for this?
It would be a lot easier for me to use an existing lower amperage transformer to do the job.

811A filament is also the cathode. Placing them in parallel makes separating filament power from RF drive signal easier, just using a bifilar wound RF choke in the filament line.
