For an antenna tuner you want lots of spacing between the components and the case so there are no circulating currents set up in the chassis. Ideally a wooden box would have better efficiency.

Go buy yourself a nice tin of fancy cookies. From our local oriental market I got a very nice painted light gauge steel cookie box of almost the exact dimensions you're asking for. Nice fitted lid. (Really nice cookies!) And yes, it will house my tuner someday.
