I have also recently acquired a 675A with the 676A Phase/Amplitude Tracking Detector. A manual came with the 675A but unfortutately it is not of much use when used with the 676A - hopefully someone can help out there! There is very little info available on the net besides an application note that is rather vague about how everything is connected...

I would be happy to copy/scan the 675A manual if required.

Now I am looking for some help with the 676A!

If it wouldn't be too much trouble please scan the manual for the 675A. Hopefully that will help me get this thing running correctly.

Tnx

Sure - it will take me a while but if it helps someone I will be more than
willing to. Turns out my problem was a bad contact in the crystal oven.

By the way - I got mine working with the 676A Tracking Phase/Amplitude
Detector and it works like a charm. Very handy for tuning filters for traps
and tuned circuits!

To use your 675A - the frequency on the left side display is the one that should be generated in the CW position and in the delta f position, the frequency will sweep plus or minus the selected variation (selected on the delta f dial)around the frequency set here. The only time the right hand freq display is used is when you are in start/stop mode and then is sweeps from the left hand freq to the right hand freq.

Hope that gets you started in the meantime...

I also purchased a 8407A Network Analyzer so hopefully will be able to do
stuff up into the low VHF region - just waiting now on my 8601A Sweep Gen to
arrive.

Regards,
