magnetic loop plans? Reply

I saw some plans for a magnetic loop for QRP made out of aluminum tape. I thought I saw it on the internet, but am unable to relocate them. Has anyone seen plans for building one like this?

Are you thinking of VE3UXE's Bushmaster antenna? It was originally written up in the Spring '99 issue of NorCal's QRPp. He wrote, "I used a single piece of 2-inch wide aluminum foil duct tape to form both the loop inductor and the tuning capacitor sections....Begin by cutting the tape to a quarter wavelength or slightly less according to your needs....I laminated the tape to a strip of 0.004" thick polyethylene plastic to add strength and support the aluminum foil.... The capacitor is created by making a hinged section out of a couple of 2 inch wide strips of Plexiglas 4 to 5 inches long...."

Does this sound familiar?
