does anyone know a good place to find 2 meter tranciever kits? it would be nice to know. thanks.

Not a transceiver solution but, Vectronics has a 5W 2M FM transmitter and a 2M FM receiver kit available. You would need to rig up T/R switching.

i also am looking for a 2 meter antenna for an old radioshack htx 212,im totally new to ham, so i really dont have a clue where to start. any help would be most appreciated. i have the radio, and the manual on how to use it (non quite sure what it all means), im eager to learn.
its condition is excellent i even got it in its original box.

Larson NMOQ 1/4 wave whip (or similar) on an NMO mount if mobile, a quarter wave ground plane (build or buy) or a commercial 2m vertical if for base use. 2m/70cm dual band antennas will also work.

this will be a home-base type thing while i learn more about the ham world
