Vanity call how long for FCC to issue license ?

Just a quickie question ...I applied online for a vanity call on 10-01-2009 ...How long does it take these days for the FCC to send out the printed copy of my new license ?...TNX 73 BOB

Actually, there are two separate-but-important answers to your question.
1. Your application is predicted to be acted upon on 20 October. Furthermore, you are predicted to be granted W9RAS. Once the FCC lists your new callsign in their database, you are required to use that callsign, not your old one.
2. The FCC usually mails out the paper copy within a week of the action. But the paper copy is just a courtesy. Under current rules, your REAL license is the database entry. That's why you use the new callsign as soon as it's listed on the ULS, before you get the paper.
