my buddy jeff tell me you dont need no HAM licence to key up on the 10 meters HAM chanel so log as their are no body on the channel. my buddy dale tell me you arent alowed to key up on the 10 meters HAM chanel with no HAM licence but its okay beacus it supossed to be shared between cb and HAM. what chanel on 10 meters HAM is best for shooting skip?

Oh my, you would want to use chanel 41 of course!

But you absolutely MUST use 'medium sideband', that way it will skip further.

be sure and set the linyar for backspin propagation, that helps too.

thanks for the advise but their isnt no chanel 41. please explane backspin. how come the HAM on the ten meters HAM chanel some times step on me with the beep de beep code. i heard that the fcc done away with beep de beep code so why do HAM step on me and not give me the break when i have the chanel first. at least cb opraters ask for a break maybe HAM can learn some thing about cortesy from the cb!!!!! what kind radio do you use on ten meters HAM?

He doesn't exactly mean channel 41; he meant to use channel 4 and the code one..4.1 ; that's why u have to use medium sideband. He forgot to add that u should check and make sure you have an ample supply of squelch powder when using MSB, cuz it wears out faster....
