Whats going on with 14.275? Reply

Everytime my tuner passes 14.275, I have noticed that someone is broadcasting some radio show. This has been going on for weeks. Has anyone else heard this?
I would think that local hams in the area would be doing something about it?

Jeez. Don't get them started on that again. Google K1MAN for as long as you have the stomach for it. The whole thing is kind of like Bizarro Superman and mostly only points up the lamentable lack of blue kryptonite.

Just think of 14.275 as an Amateur Radio "Black Hole." Even light cannot escape.

Where did the Canadian goof-ball go? He was funny when drunk...which was most of the time.

I am thinking of petitioning the big three ham makers to provide a "wierdo hang-out skip" "whos" feature as the dial is turned. Used to wish for it to tune past WA6GVG (gag vomit gag) on '75 when I was a kid. Some things never change. Same old crap - different actors.

Just keep the VFO spinning past 14.275 and the problem goes away. I tend to prefer the lower 100kc of the cw/digital bands myself.

Is that why 14.275 MHz notch filters are selling like hot cakes?
