Hi eHam members.
This is my very first post! First of all i will give some of my background. Im a tech for 5 years now. I like 2 meter ssb, 6 meter ssb and tech hf on ten meter. (Going to upgrade this winter). Im a certified welder and tool and die maker for around 33 years now.
So getting around to my question, This is what i like to do in the long run is make my radio station run on a 12 volt battery bank when need too. This going to be my winter project. I see so many things on the internet it makes my head spin. I like to start from scratch sort of speak. My thoughts was a delco alternator with pullys-Doint think thats a good ideal.
A generator sounds like the best ideal so far but what kind and best to work with? So if any of you fellow amateur operators have any ideals help me out please.
