argent simplex repeater? Reply

Has anybody used one of these simplex repeaters recently? I saw the posts on this forum from a few years ago but am interested in more recent feedback. I'm looking at these for a cheap (US80) solution to provide temporary cover into some difficult areas on a remote area multisport event course. So it will be used for a couple of days and then relocated. I'm thinking that we'll have a separate channel just for this leg of the course so that everyone else doesn't have to listen to the doubling up of messages.
Seems to me like a good solution but I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has actually used one.

Cheers!
