Hi, I'm about to chop into my new car to install radios, and I'm wondering what other people have done with their Subarus. I've only found one article so far with a very nice Yaesu Ft100 setup.
Thanks, 73 de

I installed a Yaesu FT-1500 M into the little compartment below the radio in my wife's outback. I drilled a couple of holes into to plastic in the back of the cubby hole: One for the power leads (connected directly to the battery) and one for the antenna cable. Later, I routed an extension cable for the mike through this hole.
Works well for me. I usually keep the rig at low power, unless I need to bump it up for a brief period.
Regards,
Tom
