Can the Hustler SF-2 5/8 wave 2 meter antenna be used as a 1/4 wave on six meters have 2 beehive mounts thru roof already so looking for a 6 meter ant with 3/8-24 thread to fit one

You might be able to load it up, but the efficiency would be lousy.
If you want a BIG signal on 6 meters while mobile, use a halo. The M Squared unit is what I use. If you don't have a lot of low hanging trees, etc., you can stack a pair of them, and wow!
Remember, vertical propagation versus horizontal is about a 20 dB hit in most cases.
