Trying to figure out the best way to mount my radio so the driver can see/use the controls. This is on a 2002 es300. The radio is an Icom 2100h , about 3lbs, 2 inches deep, 5 inches wide. I don't really want to drill it into the plastic on the transmission hump. Looking for other ways to mount it.
Also, where the best place to run power from the cabin to the battery?
Anyone have pics of an installed ham radio in a Lexus?

Lexus doesn't make things easy for the amateur radio operator. Gamber-Johnson makes several mounts you might want to look at. They typically bolt to the floor and sport two or more universal joints to allow positioning of the rig. As for the wiring, if you don't want to do it yourself, go to a local sound shop and ask them to run the wire directly to the battery. It will require drilling the firewall.
