Well, the Flex experience is a complete paradigm shift. W9OY has discussed this on his blog: http://w9oy-sdr.blogspot.com/ I also presented some ideas on it http://wd4elg.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html It's not just the QRP rig that you will be getting. It's the SDR experience that you are buying. See if you can get someone near your QTH to demo an SDR radio. It will change how you think about the hobby. Then you will KNOW that the 1500 is for you.
