I get this sound mainly on 20m, but does occur on 80m as well sometimes it's so load that 20m is unusable. I turned the power off to my house with no luck noise is still there so I don't think it's coming from my location. I know a couple of neighbors have plasma TV’s and one neighbor 3 houses down has either a computer or some sort of switching power supply which makes 20m unusable during the day. I still haven’t figured out how to deal with this one yet. She recently kicked her OM out so I think I’m going to make my move he wasn’t very receptive to my previous request to solve the issue. Hi Dave Well I don't know if this any use for you but recently my daughters laptop charger gave up so I bought one on a famous auction site brand new for 11 pounds sterling not sure in USD but we will say 15usd anyhow to make a long story short qrm well you would not believe it wipes out 20m 17m unless sig is s9 so it taught me a lesson spend more get better quality,Dave it wont cure your problem but this is a new one on me ,Hope you find the source of rfi. the mp3 sound is similar though regards Joe/MI0GTM
