Direct TV Dish Reply
by W0FM on May 15, 2004 Mail this to a friend!
Direct TV recently replaced my Sony DSS dish and dual LNB after ten years of reliable service. The service tech offered to install a new dish and LNB simply because I've been a long time customer. There was nothing wrong with the old system. Can't argue with that!

Is there anything salvagable from my old DSS dish and LNB that can be used for satellite work? If not, it will have a date with the dumpster.

Thanks,

Terry, WØFM

They are very usable for Sat. work. The ARRL Antenna book has at least one article on this. If you email me direct, I'll look it up tonight when I get home. My profile has my email address.
