George, You have a great website. Thanks for hosting it. I However, I've given one concern a great deal of thought. I sent you 3 emails to the address you listed on a recent thread, and as of this minute I have not received a response by email. Instead--and perhaps understandably--I got chastised publicly a few days ago for my defensive posting to a slanderous comment in an argument I did not start nor seek. What has been going on in the past 3 or 4 days fits the legal definitions of libel and harassment. But of more importance to me is that I no longer see this as an enjoyable venue. FWIW, this is the reason I have never made a financial "subscription" to the forum. Maybe my expectations of an internet forum are unrealistic. It has been said many times, "spin the knob." In that way of thinking, this will be my last post until something is done to restrict the posting privileges of those who choose to be rude. (I enjoy sharing articles and will continue to offer them to you. Clinton is doing a good job.) But as far as commenting to other members I will abstain completely, including even to legitimate questions or comments. And I regret my own comments made in haste that weren't polite. From what I hear you are an excellent Ham and a true gentleman, and I am sorry you have to deal with this. 73 & Thanks again for hosting the forum, Larry K5END

Larry, The ham in question is just the latest in the long list of hams that do personal attacks on anyone who dares to disagree with him - and who eHam shows absolutely no interest is doing anything about. 73, Lon - W3LK Naugatuck, Connecticut

Larry, You are joining a long list of people who feel the same way about the site. Most of us get heated sometimes and make remarks we wouldn't otherwise make--but it seems like there are those who do it constantly without remorse--as the one you are referring to. Those 'loudmouths' have found a permanent home here--and the site staff is disenclined to do thing one about them. Freedom of speech goes only so far, after that point it is abuse of that freedom. When the e-ham staff finally realizes that and do some policing and house cleaning, I'd be willing to bet they would find a hugh rise in subscriptions--AND SITE INCOME! That one thing is also the reason I don't post much here--and the reason that I just won't post another article here either. 73 and take care, Chris, K1CJS

k5end, I have responded to your emails - last week - in looking I see we exchanged emails on the 18th of June so I am not sure why you are posting here that you have not heard from me. While I do spend a lot of time in front of the computer I am not always here to instantly respond to emails. In fact I just spent 3 days out of internet range entirely and I am sure I will spend a number of hours tomorrow catching up with all of my stacked up email. George

PS. I have noticed some improvments in the comment behavior. I hope this is a trend that continues, whatever the cause. In any case, the improvements have not gone unnoticed.
