Has anybody sucessfully attached one of these to a Rohn 25G flat top section? The mounting holes are on a small enough diameter that two of them are partially in the hole through the top plate.
I guess some quick fabrication is on order here, but hearing how others have done it is helpful.
Thanks!
Rusty

The Rohn top plate/rotor plate is drilled for Rohn TB bearings and not the Yaesu bearings. But you know that now. I guess you either drill the holes out (make sure you regalvanize the insides of the holes) or purchase a Rohn bearing.

For what it's worth, there is one guy that I know of who makes a good Rohn clone top section that's drilled for a Yaesu thrust bearing. Unfortunately, I can't come up with the name at the moment. He was at Dayton this year and I purchased a Rohn top section from him.

There is an adapter that is made by Jetstream model #JTBP1. It is sold by R&L Electronics for around $40.00. If you don't have a fabricator close by, this may be a way for you to go.

I use a Yaesu bearing with my 25G top section. From what I remember, the holes in the Yaesu were drilled for a smaller diameter circle than the holes in the 25G top section I have. What I did was make an adapter using three pieces of bar stock with two holes drilled in each piece.
