Hi to all
I would appreciate some feedback and opinions regarding three 5 band beam antennas. The candidates are the optibeam OB9-5, the sommer XP405 and the titanex TY5. Although I have found some reviews of the OB9-5 I have been unable to find the same for the sommer and the titanex antennas (at least for above models). The antenna will be setup on top of a 4m mast on a 15m tower (height above ground between 18-19m. Current feedline to the shack is 33m of 1/2" Cellflex and other connections with RG-214 and N connectors. I operate 100% QRP and about 99% CW. I am also interested on the possibility to tune those antennas for the lower part of each band. What about SWR curves?.
The TY5 is the lightest of the three with 16Kg. while the OB9-5 and the XP405 are heavier. Just now I own a CD45-II rotator that probably would be enough for the TY5 but a bit tight for the other two.
Many thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions and best 72
Vicenç, EA3ADV
