Is anyone familiar with the Titanex vertical dipoles manufactured in and shipped from Germany?? I have seen quite a few favorable comments regarding their beam antennas, but very little info on the vertical dipoles. Any input will be appreciated. 73, Tom K3MOV

It is a bit expensive. It's too short at 39' for 80m to be effective. You need a tuner. You could home-brew it from aluminum or wire much cheaper. (Texas Towers aluminum sections). You could take a 41' aluminum pole/mast and run it against ground radials and have a pretty good signal on 30-80m. That would also work on the higher frequencies 10-20m but would not be as effective as a horizontal dipole.
What are you trying to accomplish? What frequencies do you want to cover? Do you have a favorite band you like to hang out on? How much room do you have or not have?
